Fishing

Fishing at Rondekuil Estates
Rondekuil Estates offers a rewarding fishing experience at its main dam, stocked with Largemouth Bass, Common Carp, and Catfish/Barbels. Here’s what you need to know:
Fishing at the dam is complimentary for guests renting self-catering accommodations at Rondekuil Estates for a minimum of two days or more.
Guests must bring their own fishing gear and bait to the dam.
Fishing is strictly on a “catch and release” basis, ensuring the sustainability of the fish population.
Below are pictures of Largemouth Bass and Common Carp caught in 2021 at the Rondekuil dam, exemplifying the commitment to conservation by releasing them back into the waters.

Nestled along the Diep River’s banks, which flow through the farm’s northern boundary, the trees and reeds create a haven for a diverse range of bird species. From the reed-filled dam to the meticulously landscaped gardens at Leeulaagte Cottages, and the lush surrounds of De Rondawel and the main Farm House, Rondekuil boasts a rich avian habitat that promises rewarding sightings for enthusiasts.
