Pet-Friendly Accommodation in Cape Town Durbanville

Indulge in a cozy getaway that feels just like home, perfect for the whole family.

At Rondekuil we love pets.

At Rondekuil, we warmly welcome all pets into our accommodations! With prior arrangements made, guests are encouraged to bring along their well-behaved dogs, cats, birds, and other beloved companions. A small fee of R150 is applied to cover fumigation costs after pet occupancy, and a refundable deposit of R850 is required to cover any additional cleaning necessitated by the pets.
Rondekuil Estates resembles a quaint village spread out over lush grounds, minimizing any potential disturbances caused by pets to other guests. However, we do rely on pet owners to maintain control over their furry friends during their stay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes – Rondekuil warmly welcomes guests’ pets. With advance notice, you can bring well-behaved dogs, cats, birds, and other small companions. All breeds are accepted, and we kindly ask pet owners to supervise their pets at all times.

Yes. Depending on the type of pet, we may charge a small fumigation fee of up to R150 per pet, and may require a refundable deposit of R850 per stay to cover any extra cleaning or damage. This helps ensure the accommodation remains clean and comfortable for future guests.

Yes – please let us know when you book that you’re bringing a pet. This helps us allocate one of our pet-friendly units and prepare for your stay.

Yes – each pet-friendly accommodation facility has its own enclosed garden or yard. Pets can run and play safely off-leash within this secure area. Outside your private yard, there is a farm road with an avenue of trees, normally with little traffic, where you can walk your dog(s) and enjoy nice views of the countryside and distant mountains. There are other nice places to walk with your dog(s), but, near the farmyard werf they need to be kept on leash.

Please bring your pet’s essentials: bedding (blankets or a dog bed), food and water bowls, a leash, and any special gear or medication. We also recommend bringing waste bags for cleaning up after your pet.

Yes. Pets are not allowed on sofas or beds – you may bring extra sheets or blankets if needed. Pets should arrive clean and be free of fleas or ticks. Excessive barking or disturbance to other guests should be avoided.

Yes. While your pet may roam freely in your private fenced garden, please use a leash when walking on the property or in shared spaces. This ensures everyone’s comfort and safety, especially with other animals around.

You can enjoy leisurely walks right on the farm – we have scenic trails and peaceful roads ideal for strolling with your pet.

Make sure your pet is up-to-date on vaccinations and treated for fleas and ticks before arriving. Always supervise pets outdoors and be aware of natural elements like insects or other animals. It’s a good idea to bring vet records if your pet has special health needs.

We ask guests to bring their own pet supplies. While we do not provide food, bowls, or bedding, the spacious and pet-friendly grounds offer plenty of room for exercise and relaxation. If needed, local pet services such as vets and dog walkers are available in the Durbanville area.

We normally restrict the number of dogs or cats to two per booked accommodation facility. However, after consultation with Rondekuil management the number can be negotiated and agreed upon. The breed(s)/sizes of the pet(s) will be considered before advising guests on the appropriate number of pets that can be kept in a specific accommodation unit.

Many types of pets have been brought to Rondekuil by guests and by pet transport service providers, including, on a couple of occasions, a pony! The ponies grazed on the extensive lawn that surrounds the Rondawel at Rondekuil.
